Four members of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference will host home series this w eek including a rare one-game weekend featuring Rocky Mountain neighbors Colorado College and Denver on Saturday, Nov. 12 in the M ile High City. It is the only meeting of the week between NCHC teams. In other ac tion, Miami hosts No. 4/5 Michigan, Minnesota Duluth welcomes Alaska Anchorage and Western Michigan plays host the Michigan State. Nebraska Omaha and St. Cloud State are both on the road. The Mavericks visit Bemidji State, and the Huskies travel to Minnesota State. North Dakota has the week off.

LAST WEEK’S ACTION

All eight members of The National were embroiled in their respective conference action last week, posting a record of 8-7-4. The record includes head-to-head action between Colorado College and Nebraska Omaha and Denver and Minnesota Duluth. Colorado College suffered its first loss of the y ear, losing to UNO, 7-5, in the wild opener of their w eekend. The Tigers answered back with a 5-2 win on S aturday in Omaha. Miami shook off a five-game winless streak with back-to-back 2-1 wins at Alaska in CCHA action. Minnesota Duluth played Denver to a 3-3 draw in the opener of their w eekend series before blanking the Pioneers, 4-0, in the rematch. Western Michigan split a weekend with in-state rival and fellow CCHA team, Michigan. The Broncos beat the Wolverines, 3-2, on Friday night at Yost Ice Arena before bowing to their hosts, 5-2, the following night. St. Cloud State picked up a win and a dr aw at home last weekend against Wisconsin. The Huskies hammered the Badgers, 7-2, before settling for a 3-3 tie. North Dakota ran into a hot Minnesota team at home, losing 2-0 on Friday and 3-2 on S aturday.
